The icon designs for Fork, a Git client, reflect a thoughtful and adaptive approach to evolving UI trends, showcasing the ability to maintain brand integrity while aligning with platform-specific aesthetics.

Initial Icon (2018): A refined version of the original Fork icon featuring a polished fork glyph on a blue background

New Icon (2020): Designed to align with the aesthetic shift in macOS 11 Big Sur, which introduced 'squircle' app icon shapes for a more consistent ecosystem. This redesign represents an adaptive approach to platform-specific design requirements.

Fork is a Git client for Mac and Windows, designed for ease of use with features like interactive rebase and merge conflict resolver. Dan and Tanya Pristupov created the software as a personal project that gained popularity, reflecting a commitment to user-friendly software development.
