I was a comic book illustrator for many years. I worked with media agencies whenever they needed an illustrated advertisement and created a couple of comic series for various Czech magazines. This work literally sucked all the energy and love for drawing out of me, and I had to find something different to do – that's where my Flash skills were useful. For many years, I haven't drawn anything at all – until the kids came.
Many years ago, at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, I bought a blank diary meant to be drawn into every day. Now I am about to finish a third book – which I didn't expect at all. Not all sketches are good – I'd say most of them are entirely bad. But that doesn't matter, as I am finally drawing freely again.
Please see some of the daily sketches below, with more on the way.
